Summit County Continuum of Care to Host “Homeward Collective” as Community Friendraiser

May 1, 2026

Akron, OH — The Summit County Continuum of Care (CoC) will host the Homeward Collective on June 9, 2026, at House Three Thirty in Akron. This community-focused event is designed to introduce the work of the CoC and bring people together in support of ongoing efforts to prevent and end homelessness in Summit County.

The Homeward Collective will serve as a “friendraiser”—an opportunity to connect with community members, partners, and stakeholders who are interested in learning more about the local homelessness response system and how they can stay engaged moving forward.

Attendees will be introduced to the role of the Continuum of Care, its partnerships, and its impact across the community. The event is intended to create awareness and build connections, while opening the door for future opportunities to engage more deeply in the work.

“The Homeward Collective is about connection and invitation,” said Christopher Richardson, Executive Director of the Summit County Continuum of Care. “This event is designed to introduce who we are and bring people into the orbit of this work. It’s a starting point—a way for individuals and partners to get connected, build relationships, and consider how they might be part of the conversation moving forward.”

By creating a welcoming and accessible entry point, the Summit County CoC aims to broaden community involvement and strengthen the network of partners committed to addressing homelessness over time.

Community members, partners, and anyone interested in learning more are encouraged to attend.
